Description:
A fine 18 th century French boulle bracket clock together with it's original wall bracket, the clock case of tortoishell inlaid with brass and with ormolu mounts, similarly the bracket. The 8 day movement with original crown wheel and verge escapement, sunburst pendulum and signed on the backplate, "Raymond A Paris". The dial consists of a gilded round brass plate adorned with crossed trumpets and other embellishments, inset with individual white and blue porcelain numerals. Although the case and bracket of this clock have deteriorated slightly having lost bits of brass inlays, this has served to enhance it's gereral appearence and, as a result, it 'shows it's age'. The condition of this clock, therefore is Fair. l
