Description: Superb Pair of French 19th century, French Napoleon III Dore bronze single light Candelabras. Of column form with the candle holders and inserts decorated with scrolled leaves on top of a tapered and ribbed central section ending on a wide circular ribbed rim. The column rests on a elaborate tripod with acanthus leaves in scroll form feet, resting on a triangular and decorated shaped base. The ormolu is mercury gilded with both mat finish and highly burnished areas of highlights. Gilding is completely original. Size:10.5" x 5" wide at the base.
