Description: We have for sale an antique gold frame and print of “Southern Bell” by Erich Correns. The portrait is of a beautiful "southern belle" dressed in a yellow satin/taffeta dress with a gold bracelet, necklace and earrings. She is very dark haired, parted down the middle and pulled back in a bun at the nape of her neck. The artist is Erich Correns. Correns was commissioned by a large hotel in New Orleans in the 1850's to paint her. A copy is hanging in Le Pavillon in New Orleans. It is in great condition. The frame is missing a gilt leaf on the left bottom corner. It is 31 ½ inches tall by 25 ½ inches wide and 2 inches thick and weighs 8 pounds. We will figure shipping with insurance by UPS ground.
