Description: An antique figural handle in the shape of Man's Best Friend. Beautifully cast with attention to details...right down to the collar's buckle. The dog rests on a small round ring of a natural material (possibly bone). At one time the dog graced a lovely parasol or umbrella. The parasol has not survived time; however, Man's Best Friend is ready to serve for years to come. Often, these handles will become focal points for magnifying glasses or paper weights. Measurements; 1 3/4" for the dog's head and the plain wood holder measures 4 3/4" Condition; good to very good. The silver is wearing through in many places with the brass showing. Some more cleaning needed.
