Description: This is a rare special purpose, extended reach gripper pliers, with an upturned, curved jaws, and the lever on the handle closes the jaws in the hold position when pressed toward the handle section. The handle and lever are about an average hand size, and easy to hold. The overall length is 17" with about 13" of extended reach. The jaws are about 3/4" wide, and about 3/32" thick. A good sturdy gripper, most likely made to hold formed sheet metal, or some sort of assembly part. There is a maker mark on the tool beam, but all we can read is "PAT. APPLIED FOR MADE BY ............ONEIDA N.Y.". It is in good condition, no damage, some minor pitting, all the joints work fine, no rust. It's not a complex tool, but is unique! We have not seen another one like it!
