Description: This is a lovely antique hand painted over brown transfer or transferware imari teacup trio consisting of cup, saucer and plate made in Staffordshire, England in 1926-1935 by Doric China. Imari became popular with the influence of japanese ceramics at that time. It features flow blue, rust and green hand painted onto a brown floral stylized design transfer with gold trim on the cup and saucer but not the squared tea plate. The cup stands 2.75 inches high and is 3.25 inches in diameter, the deep saucer is 5.5 inches in diameter and the plate is 6 inches with squared corners.
