Item Description:
This is a rare and large antique English solid pine blanket box chest trunk. Inside it features a spacious and very clean storage area and the outside has surfaces with attractive black outlines with very unique faux oak finish over solid pine. The heavy top door opens and operates smoothly. The sides are crafted with dovetail joinery so it is of very good quality and though it has age appropriate scratches and scuffs, considering its age circa 1880, it is in very good condition. This piece may show age appropriate signs of wear including separations but as shown it is overall in good cosmetic and structural condition and it is strong and sturdy.
