Item Description:
This is a gorgeous antique English solid oak Art Nouveau mirrorback sideboard buffet server. It features a large beautiful beveled mirror which is in very good condition though it has very small flaws which only add validity to the piece’s age. On its sides it has two beautiful ring and trumpet turnings with decorative wood designs and a convenient beveled shelf on top with a gorgeous carved pediment with foliage and scroll-like decorations. The top surface is in very good condition and it has a nice finish even though it has some age appropriate scratches and dents which only add character to the piece.
This sideboard has two well constructed drawers with dovetail joinery and they have elegant beveled surfaces with attractive oval handles over decorative hardware. It has a spacious cabinet with two shelves and it has very beautiful paneled doors with foliage and shield designs on their center with lovely brass handles. One of the shelves has a slight wood separation but it is easily overlooked and can be easily covered with your favorite wallpaper or fabric to suit your current décor. On the sides there are two attractive carved floral decorations and on its bottom it has a lovely curvaceous skirt.
This piece may have some minor scuffs and wood imperfections but overall it is in very good cosmetic and structural condition considering its age, circa 1905, and it is strong and sturdy. This is an outstanding piece of furniture that will enrich your home décor!
