Item Description:
This is a beautiful antique English solid oak mirrorback sideboard buffet server. It has a beautiful top surface which is in very good condition even though it has minor wood imperfections that aren’t distracting at all, and it features a beautiful back splash with two turned columns and small shelves on the sides with a gorgeous beveled oval mirror having a lovely scalloped top. The back splash and mirror may have some age appropriate wood separation and flaws but they only add character and patina to the piece.
This sideboard has two smooth operating drawers that are well constructed with dovetail joinery and they have very attractive brass handles with beveled facings. One of the drawers is conveniently felt lined. Under the drawers there is a spacious cabinet which has two paneled doors decorated with beautiful accents on their center and they have unique skirt-like scalloped bottoms. One of the doors stays slightly open but as shown in the pictures it is easily overlooked and can be repaired if necessary. There are two gorgeous bulb-like turned front legs with a stretcher and block feet. Overall this server is in very good cosmetic and structural condition and it is strong and sturdy. This piece of furniture will compliment many styles and forms of furniture as well as individual decors.
