Description:
This gorgeous mahogany sideboard was hand-crafted in Edwardian England around 1910 and recently restored by a team of master craftsmen before being shipped to our showroom in Atlanta, GA. The flame mahogany, having developed a lovely patina over the years, displays a fine, rich grain and deep lustre, which are complemented by satinwood string inlay, crossbanding around the top, and solid-brass hardware. The serpentine design looks quite elegant, as do the shaped skirt and the square-tapered legs, which end in stylish spade feet. With a single drawer and two cabinets with removable shelves, this sideboard offers plenty of storage space and would look fantastic in just about any setting. Although this sideboard owes much of its beauty to Edwardian craftsmen and recent restorers, it has sustained some crackling around the crossbanding that could not be repaired. There is also some minor wear and a few stains in the cabinets. Otherwise, this sideboard is in excellent condition and retains its century-old structural integrity. Whether you are looking for a fine decorative antique or a functional sideboard to provide extra storage, this Edwardian furniture piece would be perfect for you!
