Description:
This beautiful Victorian Mahogany Chest of Drawers was created around 1890 in England. The mahogany looks wonderful, with a well-developed patina, dark color, and rich grain. This piece has 4 graduated long drawers w/ the top drawer being one that is unique to Scottish chests. Each drawer boasts modest knob handles w/ wooden threads running through the back and hand-crafted dovetailed joints in the front and rear. The bottom drawer is about 14 1/2" deep! Bun feet provide sturdy support so there is no need to worry about stability. There are slight veneer bubbles on either side; minor interior repairs on the drawers and slight imperfections on the top and back (see picture below). The utilitarian design makes this chest a piece that will last.
