Description:
This beautiful solid-oak sideboard was hand-crafted in England around 1920. Over the years, the oak has developed a lovely patina that enriches the wood's distinct grain and lustrous complexion. The use of tiger oak (or quarter-sawn oak) also makes a striking appearance. Various recessed panels and carvings adorn the piece, including hand-carved barley twist framing, while solid-brass hardware provides a wonderful complement to the oak. The shaped skirt especially looks fantastic in contrast with the hand-carved barley twist legs. Two cabinets and two large drawers provide generous storage space; each of the drawers, the top of which is a felt-lined silverware drawer, features hand-cut dovetailed joints. There is no real damage or wear to speak of except a few minor scuffs on the lower framing. This splendid oak server will continue to function for generations to come, growing more beautiful all the while, so don't miss your chance to make it a part of your home today!
