Description:
This beautiful solid-oak wardrobe was hand-crafted in Late Victorian England around 1900. Since then, the wood has developed the loveliest of patinas, which enriches the distinct oak grain and warm complexion. Solid-brass hardware complements the wood quite well, while various carvings, paneling and moulding display the beautiful craftsmanship that formed this gorgeous piece. Each strong drawer features hand-cut dovetailed joints--a sign of fine construction--while the mirror features elegant beveled edges. Inside the tall section are a set of hooks and a bar for convenient clothing storage. While this piece does contain many locks, it does not retain its key. The left and right sections can be separated and lifted off of the base for easy movement and shipping. There is very little wear on this piece, although a piece of the dental moulding has come off (shown below) and the hardware is a bit tarnished. The mirror has sustained very little spotting, which is an inevitable feature of century-old mirrors. Otherwise this wardrobe is in fantastic condition and will continue to function beautifully for generations to come, so don't miss your chance to make it a part of your home today!
