Item Description:
This is a handsome antique English mahogany barrister lawyer’s bookcase. It has an elegant top with a beautiful cherry finish and it features four shelves which have glass doors with lovely round handles. Each door conveniently lifts up and smoothly slides in and out on top of the shelves. This bookcase has a unique lock mechanism with one key present and it can keep all the doors locked when necessary. On the back the shelves have a maker’s label: The Globe-Wernicke Co. Ltd. It may have some minor age appropriate wear but overall it is in very good cosmetic and structural condition and it is strong and sturdy. It is very suitable for home or office.
