Description: This regal carved oak armchair was crafted in England around 1890. The oak has developed a deep patina. Midnight blue upholstery adorned w/ a golden unicorn add whimsy and charm to this piece. Carved skirting surrounds the seating. The arched back and down-turned scroll arms sit atop cabriole legs. The arched back is crowned with scroll patterns and a crown serves as it's centerpiece. Solid-brass feet have a roller-ball design. The velvet is supple and luxurious with only a minor imperfection or two. There legs have been repaired several times due to woodworm damage (pictured above) therefore it is no longer serves a functional purpose and is purely a decorative item.
