Description:
This basket has an oval shaped form onto an oval pierced decorated frame incorporating four bracket style feet. The body has fluted embossed panels with pierced decoration. The shaped border has applied bead an acanthus leaf decoration. The basket is fitted with the original hallmarked swing handle which has a wirework bead decorated design with a central vacant acanthus leaf decorated oval cartouche. This basket is a very good gauge of silver, very good quality and in excellent condition. Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the body, and part hallmarks to either end of the swing handle are all very clear. Reflections in photography may not give a true representation of this item.
