3 Antique Edme Samson Paris Porcelain Teacups
Description: 3 Porcelain Teacups with Painted Floral Decoration, Late 19C, by Edme Samson in Paris. The cups are decorated with pretty painted blossoms on a white ground and have a gilt wavy rim. On the underside is the mark (in blue) for Edme Samson in the late 19C and early 20C: two crossed swords above the letter "S." Dimensions: Each: 1-7/8" High, 2-2/3" Wide, 2-1/2" Deep. Total weight: 1/3 lb. Condition: The painted decoration is clean and bright and the gilding is intact. One cup is in fine condition with no chips or cracks and only light surface wear. Two cups are in fair condition with 1-1/2" cracks that run the length of the cup. The cracks are visible on the exterior.
