Description:
This fine card case has a rectangular shaped form. It has all over flat engraved acanthus leaf decoration. There is an embossed and chased rectangular panel to the front of the card case depicting Windsor Castle. Above this, to the hinged cover there is an oval cartouche with the engraved initials 'ASC'. To the reverse of the case is a central oval panel with a flat chased image depicting a pheasant perched on a tree branch. This card case is an extremely good gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent condition. The decoration is very crisp and sharp. Full hallmarks struck to the rim of the body are all clear. Reflections in photography may detract from a true representation of this item. Height 10.2cm/4", Width 7.2cm/2.8", Depth 0.9cm/0.4", Weight 3 troy ounces/93g.
