Description:
This server was hand-crafted in the Netherlands in 1890. This solid-oak server looks beautiful because of the almost century-old patina in addition to the use of tiger oak. The drawers feature handcut dovetails and each one is lined with green velvet (pictured below). One of the drawers is divided into three compartments. The drawers are adorned with intricate carvings and solid oak drawer pulls. Thick bobbin turned legs provide sturdy support betweeen the shelves. There is a full 11.5 inch clearance between each shelf. Other stylistic traits include carved moulding and lion heads w/ brass rings on each side of this piece. The entire piece sits atop solid oak bun feet. There are age splits on the top surface (see below). This server has a slight tilt. Nevertheless the condition remains good, and it's structural integrity remains overall unaffected. Don't miss your chance to own a fantastic Dutch antique today!
