Description: This is one of the most exciting outdoor pieces that I have come across in years. It was built specifically for the Flower Show of 1909 in Portland, Maine. It was purchased in 1960 for $2,000 at an auction but the decorator never showed it to her clients. I was able to purchase this through her personal attorney and there is so much charm to this piece and it is definitely one of a kind. The trellis archway is so elegant and classic. There are trellis boxes like end tables built into it is all wired with lights to run them on. Each box also can be used for displaying many things. It is completely wired all around into the trellis. This is the original green paint on the trellis. It needs some replacement bulbs and maybe some new plugs if so desired. This piece is in exceptional original condition that with a few minor repairs and new paint would be stunning in anyone's garden. The decorator that initially purchased this over 40 years ago for $2,000 was going to put this inside a garden room which again would be so elegant. You cannot find architectural pieces such as this with all the original pieces, original charm and history to this. It was a feature piece in The Flower Show of 1909 in Portland, Maine. It is 91" tall, 66" wide and 13" deep. Notice the lighting detail to the trellis and the two trellis boxes built into each side. It breaks down for transport.
