Description: Tang period silver-finish back mirror with intricate gilded decorations in high relief. The outer panel has scrolls decorations, while the inner 2 panels have gilded decorations of zoomorphic pattern. The inner panel features gilded relief decorations of many kinds of birds. The inner-most panel reveals 6 frolicking monkeys surrounding the central suspending knob. The reverse side of the mirror has a silver-like polish covered with spotty green patina.
