Description:
For sale is an antique Canonsburg Pottery Co. platter. c:1920's. This gorgeous yellow platter is marked as above in gold and also reads: Georgelyn Sunset. This is mark #21 in Lehners and therefore dates to the 1920's and earlier. This platter does not appear to have been used, (no scratch marks), but does have one teensy fleabite on back rim, barely visible from front; you really have to run your finger around rim to even find it. It is a lovely yellow color, (that didn't really show well in the pics); with orange, blue and yellow flowers. It also has faint all-over crazing as can be expected of something this old. Most people display these in the back of the hutch, or on the wall. Either way, this is one beautiful platter to show off! ts-4-08
