Description:
Holdcroft was an important English Majolica maker. This stunning Shell Bowl is proof of that. The colors are bright, clear & well balanced, the glaze slick & shiny, the Shells & Seaweed crisply molded. Not marked but 100% guaranteed to be by Holdcroft. Note the typical green glaze on the interior of the hollow base. Holdcroft usually marked these shells with a tiny impressed "Holdcroft" in one of the ridges of the brown underside of the shell. The sticker you see in one of the photos is an auction house label. The condition of this piece is superb!! There are no flaws other then the tiny factory bumps inside the bowl. Absolutely no repairs, chips or hairlines. A beauty from every angle! Please note the above shipping quotes. Overseas buyers will have to pay more. Canadians will pay applicable taxes.
