Description:
Antique late 19th century South East Asian Burmese sword Dha- Dah. Details: A single edged slightly curved hand forged steel blade ornamented with silver inlaid elaborate writing and figures dressed in eastern costumes. A large silver plated brass hilt embossed with flowers and foliage enclosed swollen pommel. A silver plated brass scabbard with loops finely decorated with repousse and hand chiseled scrolling floral motifs in suite with the hilt with its original carrying cord.
MEASUREMENTS: Overall length with the scabbard: 82 cm (32 1/4 inches).
CONDITION: The silver plating is worn out showing age and usage patina, a small dent in the metal hilt near the blade and the mouth of the scabbard.
