Description:
I would estimate the age of this hat to be early 1900's, possibly a bit older, I am pretty sure it is made of Felt Wool, it measures about 12 1/2 from front to back and about 11" across, the inside part that sits on the head measures about 8 1/2" from front to back and about 7" across, it is marked with on the inside headbank with Shark. It is in good condition given it age, there is one small hole along the edge of the hatband and another larger hole just under the bow, the hole under the bow appears to have been made for some sort of pin or the like to go through, the hatband some small holes it which also appear to have been made from some sort of pins being placed on the band, the inside hatband is loose and shows a lot of wear. Also it is rather dirty from being stored away in a trunk and does need to be professionally cleaned. It comes from a smoke free home and would be a terrific addition to your wardrobe or collection!
