Description: his is a large Antique Steamer Trunk made by Belber. It is black and has brown leather trim and handles. The corners and outer hardware is heavy, solid brass. It has two metal latches that are loop and tab type latches and a center lock made of brass. There are worn and scratch areas that one expects on an object of this age that has been used. When sat on its end and opened you have one end that opens at the top to access your hanging clothes. There is a brown cloth curtain that hangs down to cover your hanging clothes and protect them when the trunk is closed. The side for your hanging clothes has two metal rods down either side. On these metal rods sits your ten wooden clothes hangers that are included. Below the hanging area is a wooden suitcase that has two metal pegs at the front of it that fit into slots for them at the side. This secures the suitcase up during travel or when the suitcase is not in use. The case measures 19 x 5 x 12 1/2". It has two metal latches and a metal handle. On the opposing side there are 4 drawers. These have an olive drab color material over them. The inside of the drawers is a lighter color green. There is a metal slat that runs behind these drawers to lock them in place. The drawers are 20 1/2" wide and 11" deep. The top drawer is 4" tall. This drawer has a metal lock on it. The rest of the drawers are 9 1/2", 9 3/4" and 15" tall, respectively. There is some wear areas where the fabric is worn and gone on the top edges of the drawers. The first drawer there is about a 1 1/2" area over the lock. The second drawer the fabric is worn and gone over two spots that measure approx. 3 1/2" and 4". The third drawer has worn spots but none that are bare.
