Description: We are pleased to offer a magnificent armorial charger in pewter. The arms have a lion rampant with sword and the scales of justice in shield, The crest above the armorial is a knight's helm with swan. Although we do not possess a book on pewter we believe that the mark to the rear is similar to that used in Augsburg during the 17th an d 18th century. Hence the platter could be of greater age than we have indicated or slightly newer. In excellent condition.
