Description: Armor bronze Antique dog or wolf. Uniquely produced by Armor Bronze Co. Base covers in felt , 7 " H. x 6 "W. x 3.5" D. Heavy , in very good aged, Antique patina,condition. Thickly bronze electroplated over a plaster core. Although base has not been examined, research finds that perhaps On the base, below the felt a small depression in the plaster where the wire hanger ring remains. Apparently this type quite costly from production to inception, and did not survive the Depression. They are a lost art in book end history, and attracts serious collectors.
