Description: A wonderful find, a vibrant green enamel pin and companion pendant watch. Both are 18K and are decorated with sprays of rose cut diamonds in a stunning floral motif, the back of the watch has pearls scrolls as well. The pin has a beautifully engraved gold border surrounded the enamel ground, which has five chunky rose cut diamonds measuring 4mm each and array of 22 smaller diamonds. The watch has tiny gold scrolls bordering the enamel and the center holds 29 rose cut diamonds (1-2mm) to the front and 48 pearls (1-2mm pearls) on the back with even more ornate gold scrollwork. The pin measures 1 ˝” and is fitted to the back with the original “c” clasp, t-bar hinge and chatelaine hook. It weighs 8.7 dwt (13.5 grams) and is in excellent, all original condition with no wear to the enamel or any faults to note. The watch measures 1.2” and weighs 14.5 dwt (22.5 grams). I has a clean white enamel dial with black Roman numeral markers. The inside case is hallmarked “EW & Co., 18K”, along with being ornately engraved with the Swiss maker “J. C. Ledmole” (for John C. Ledmole), then “I Geneve, Aiquillis Nov 13311, Echappenient A Cylindre Huit Trous EN RUBIS.”. The ruby jeweled works look clean, but we do not have the key and do not know if it works. The person we bought it from stated it does, but you are buying it as found. The overall condition is very fine, especially given the age and it is amazing that both the pin and watch have stayed together all these years. There has been some enamel restoration to the diamond side of the watch only. Circa 1900, certified to be as described and to be authentic antique jewelry.
