Description: This unusual Victorian mantel clock was made by the highly regarded Ansonia Clock Company. Notice the wonderfully ornate brass castings. The clock case has its original burgundy velvet covering, which is in excellent condition. The brass cast dial has a hand-painted sprig of flowers across the center and a bezel with beveled glass. Check out the brass artist palette below the dial. There is a beautifully hand-painted bird with flowers on the surface. The clock strikes the hour only and requires winding once a week. The brass clock mechanism is original and in excellent working condition. This unique clock would easily grace any mantle or home.
