Description:
My wife and I have always liked "Delft"- which is usually in blue and white with Dutch village scenes- windmills, sailboats on the lake and quaint Dutch cottages. This nice clock was made by the Ansonia Clock Company shortly after the turn of the 20th century (circa 1910). They named it the TIOGA (molded into the back of the porcelain case). ...although we haven't been able to find it listed in the old Ansonia sales catalogs. It has a good-running eight-day mechanism and strikes the hours properly plus one strike every half-hour. We've kept it for ourselves over the years, but we are now preparing to move to smaller quarters in a enior itizen's village near our present home. So, we have to down-size and sell a lot of our "treasures" before making the transition. Our business will continue as always, but the space available forces us to reduce the number of clocks in our inventory and this fine clock will therefore be sold for a well-below average price in preparation for the move. It's a really attractive and faithful clock that very well represents the Delft-style line of antiques and clock cases. NOTE: The Delft-style vase shown in our photo is not included in the price of the clock. It is for sale separately however for $75.
