Description:
Its always a pleasure to find a clock that is over 113 years old and which still retains all of its original parts including the paper label on the back of the case. This handsome clock was named the 'ECHO' by the Ansonia Clock Company. It has most of the original pattern on its silver decorated door glass and the Ansonia signature on its dial paper. The seashell crown on the top of the case accents the clock's overall flair. Although there is an alarm mechanism, few modern-day owners use them because these clocks are now displayed in the livingroom or another downstairs room and the alarm, once wound doesn't stop until it is fully run down. This is a really nice example of a Victorian era mantle clock in tip-top condition.
