Description: This is a wonderful and impressive Spanish Colonial carved figure of ST. ANNE, the mother of Mary. St. Anne is the Patron Saint of Christian mothers and women in labor. This santos measures 20" h., with the base measuring 7 5/8" x 5 1/8". It is hand carved, with a gessoed and polychrome painted finish. Originating from Venezuela, it exhibits an excellent quality and representation of Spanish Colonial art.
