Description: 7.25" across & 13.5" long A very exotic & heavy hand mirror. If not dating to the 1860s it certainly dates c1880. I've never seen one like it in 25 years in the antiques business but I'm sure there is someone out there who would be kind enough to tell me more about this object. A quick internet search turned up nothing. I have not polished it but someone has done so in the past as we can see from the polish deposits in the crevasses. Some deterioration to the mirror's silver backing. An interesting & decorative piece.
