AMERICAN WATCH Co. 1857 MODEL P.S. BARTLETT KEY WIND/KEY SET 3.5 oz. SILVER HUNTING CASE Circa: 1868. Fine and rare 1857 Model. This American produced pocket watch features the original "American Watch Co" silver key wind hunting case with the original heavy beveled hard rock crystal. Wide diamond well jewel settings are all screwed down with bright color. This American pocket watch was a very high grade and high tech in it's day and still is clean, running and accurate. Especially collectible because of it's condition and originality.
THIS IS A FINE COLLECTIBLE. DON'T INVEST IN THE STOCK MARKET. BUY SOMETHING PROVEN IN TIME.
DIAL: White porcelain single sunken dial signed "AMERICAN WATCH Co." Mint original early dial!
MOVEMENT: 18 size, full plate gilt, "Foggs Patent" Regulator, key wind and key set, 15 wide well diamond jewel settings all screwed down, solid steel balance, 1857 model, signed: "P.S. Bartlett", #417,228. Original to the case and very bright bold color, free of distraction.
CASE: "American Watch Co." signed in an arc on inside, 3.5 oz. coin silver and marked: "3*", all components original with a black shield on front. Very nice case, approproiate for it's day in 1868.
