Description: This is a gorgeous sterling silver water pitcher by New York silversmiths Redlich & Co. in a classic design. Standing on domed base this pitcher has a vase-form body with a high arched inverted helmet-shaped spout. It has an elegantly arched C-scroll handle that creates a dramatic silhouette. The clean-lines of this design are emphasized without ornamentation. This pitcher is in excellent condition and measures approx. 9 3/4" high, the base measures approx. 4 1/4" in diameter, and it weighs approx. 30 troy ounces. It is marked under the base with the maker's mark of Redlich & Co., the words Sterling, 4 Pints, the retailer's mark of Black, Starr & Gorham, and pattern number 8996. This lovely antique silver water pitcher is a versatile piece that can be used for serving as well as for decoration.
