Description: This is a rare 63 piece sterling silver flatware service by the renowned Shiebler & Co. silversmiths in the Amaryllis pattern. This wonderful pattern has a tapering handle divided into sections with a geometric chevron design and embellished with Greek keys, scrolls, a central anthemium, and small ball finial. This service includes 12 dinner forks (7 3/4"), 11 salad/dessert forks (6 3/4"), 12 tablespoons (8 "), 12 soup spoons (7"), 13 teaspoons (5 "), 2 large ladles (8"), and 1 small ladle (6 "). Each piece is marked (excluding the steel bladed knives) on the obverse with the words Sterling, Pat'd 77 and with the maker's mark of George W. Shiebler & Co. The service is in excellent condition and has its soft original finish. Some pieces are monogrammed with various single initials. A canteen/fitted box is included with this service.
