Description:
This is an adorable sterling silver baby's bowl made by Massachusetts silversmith R. Blackington & Co. with wonderful nursery rhyme decoration. This circular silver bowl has rounded sides and a wide circular field that has been engraved with the scene of "Three Little Kittens" showing two kittens dressed as young women attending to a large wash basin while another kitten dressed as a boy plays at the window nearby. This scene is executed with great texture showing every detail of this charming scene. This bowl in excellent condition and is very fine quality and heavy gauge. It has not previously been monogrammed, but could be personalized on the reverse. It measures approx. 1" high, approx. 7" in diameter, and weighs approx. 7.5 troy ounces. It is marked under the base with the mark of R. Blackington & Co., the word Sterling, and pattern number 9164. This charming bowl would make a special gift for a newborn or a decorative piece for a cat lover.
