Description: Wool blanket made in the Spanish textile tradition. Uknown region, could be swest American (New Mexico) or Mexican in make, c1920 is my estimation. Blanket consists of 3 sections done on 23" loom, hand stitched together. All work is hand done, analine and natural dyes, 68x90". With purchase comes a free book (subject to prior sale as priced seperately) Spanish Textile Tradition of New Mexico and Colorado. From the museum of international folk art 1979. Great information! As you can tell I'm trying to research this textile and am happy to find out that the purple dye is much older than I initially thought. Please feel free to email for more information, photos or with any thoughts you might have. :O)
