Description: Beautiful American Boulle box inlaid with engraved brass and pewter with a mullbery veneer. The boulle work is of the higest quality showing four Eagles with raised wings to the corners of a central paneled top and a perched Eagle on a urn of flowers. The rest of the box is highly decorated with engraved brass and pewter floral sprays. The interior edge is is veneered in rosewood and inlaid with a single brass stringing, it has its original red silk velvet lining.Comes with a fully working lock and tassled key.
