Description: American classical period two-drawer worktable with highly carved. four legged pedestal base. This piece features beautifully book matched, flame grained mahogany veneers and a base carved with acanthus leaves and hairy paw feet. The quality of the workmanship in this carving suggests a top end New York cabinet maker. This table is in marvelous condition with 19th c. replacement handles and has original locks and keyhole surround. The two rear drop finials are missing from the back of the piece. Minor professional restoration.
