Description: In the early 1900's many pottery companies competed with Grueby's success at organic forms with their own leaf vases. The leaves of this jardiniere are molded and the entire piece is covered in a thick, white, ironstone type glaze. It is unmarked, but certainly of Ohio origin, and most likely made by Zanesville Stoneware. The condition is very good, having one small chip at the base of the raised foot. The top is not a perfect circle when viewed from directly above, but still displays beautifully.
