Description: Alfred Meakin Calendar Plate. This is a 1972 calendar plate in a brown color. Around the border is the months and between each month is the zodiac sign for the month, Aquarius, Pisces, Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, and Capricorn. The center of the plate shows a farmstead with house, barn, animals, and a man carrying a stack of hay. At the bottom of picture is written God Bless Our House Throughout 1972. Marked Alfred Meakin Staffordshire England , a hand engraved pattern applied under the glaze, Detergent and Acid resisting colour. Vintage, mint condition. 9 inches.
