This one is used, in good working order, has all except one the original knobs and switch levers, the one knob that is missing is the one about 3 places from the left above the VU meters, the switch works fine, and I can turn it without the knob. All 4 VU meters light up, as well as all the push button control switches. The front is marked "AKAI GLASS & SINGLE X'TAL HEAD GX-400D-SS GX FOCUSED FIELD QUADRA-SYNC SYSTEM REEL SIZE 10IN OR 7IN". We have/had two matching units, selling this one seperately as there is a slight condition difference between the two. There is no problems with this unit, it works just fine as far as I can see with limited experience on this machine, and no owner's manual. The exterior is clean, This wood cabinet is nice, a few small scratches on the stainless steel face near the reel swing arms, and most likely cause by the same, not bad, no other damage note in that area, otherwise in very good shape. It has 4 rubber legs to set either upright or flat down on it's back, and will operate just fine in either position. It is heavy, and shipping may be costly, but we tried to estimate the cost at $50 for addresses near southeastern Ohio where we are located. A nice vintage, top quality reel to reel tape deck by a well known maker, Akai!
