Description: A wonderful old African Stool. Completely hand made in a dark wood that appears to be mahogany .Very primitive indeed with so much style. This stool has the most interesting design in the top. It appears that strands of very thin brass or copper chain or wire have been hammered into the wood to form the greatest design. The condition is very good considering that this stool probably dates to the very early 1900’s.The surface patina is very rich .This stool is completely hand carved from a solid piece of wood. A wonderful folk art piece, it is solid decorative & rare. It measures 6 ¾” high x 9 3/8” diameter.
