Description: Signed panel - poker work on box wood - portrait of a young African. Excellent detail, a really talented work, dating from circa 1920. The signature on the bottom is M.B. Panel measures 46 cm by 14.5 cm (18 inches by 5.5/8 inches). Very good condition. A few minor scratches commensurate with age, but nothing ugly or serious. Very evocative work.
