This round lavender pink jasperware dresser jar was produced by Schafer & Vater, circa 1900, The lid depicts in detailed and gold detailed bas-relief the head of an Egyptian Queen [perhaps Cleopatra] wearing a crown and other decoration. The base has matching ornaments front and back and has an Egyptian motif border surrounding the rim.. Measuring 3 inches tall x 4 wide. The bottom is marked with the Schafer & Vater crown and the number 4261 but the number is to faint be sure. This very lovely piece of delicate old Schafer & Vater jasperware pottery is, with the exception of a chip on the rim of the jar and one on the rim of the lid [see photo], in excellent condition
