Description: Aesthetic Victorian black lacquer writing desk. This piece is in fabulous original condition. The top portion features a open railing, raised beveled panels, and a rectangular beveled mirror with carved columns holding it up. The slant lit has raised panels with flower carvings. This lifts up to expose a desk interior with a drawer and cubbies. The lid flips out to make a larger writing surface. A red felt was put on this surface by a previous owner. Notice the quality of the brass hinges (see photo). There are two small drawers on each side and two shelves and a cupboard on the bottom. All the brass hardware is original.
