Description: Completely original and one of a kind 14K gold and silver pendant/locket Circa 1880. The inscription reads "Art may err but nature cannot miss". The Victorians which created the Aesthetic Movement were so entralled with nature that there were some really creative and original pieces of jewelry emminateing from that period in history. This is one of them. The detail work of the sunflower and of the almost Deco design at the bottom is so artistic in design as well as in it's execution. Measuring 2 1/2" by 1 1/2" this outstanding pendant could walk in a room on it's own. It has a working hinge which allows it to open so that a photo, lock of hair or whatever your heart's desire is, it can accomodate. Really special adornment and did we mention, we love this piece.
