Description: Ackermann's Repository These charming hand colored antique engravings are from the third series of the Repository of the Arts,Literature, Fashions, &c., published by Rudolf Ackermann between 1823 and 1828. Each monthly installment contained 2 fashion drawings, 2 views of country homes or castles, one furniture design and one muslin pattern. It was a remarkable work, extremely popular in its day. Many of the plates were subsequently issued in their own volumes, by subject, i.e. fashions, country homes, etc.
